GALLIONS LAKE

Gallions lake is situated in the Gallions area of Thamesmead, south east London. There are some big carp in the lake, last year the biggest carp reached 28.6 lbs. Bream are up to 9 lbs and Roach up to 3 lbs.

Average depths are around 3ft falling to 5ft in places. Some parts are made up of gravel beds and the rest is silt. The quality of fish is excellent.

Day ticket fishing is available on this lake but the canal is members only

This water is suitable for disabled anglers

PLEASE NOTE – fish must be returned to the lake once caught.

FACILITIES

  • Toilets – None on site
  • Domino’s pizza, Tesco express and the Princess Alice pub are a five minute walk from the lake.

Day tickets are available from the bailiff on the banks

  • £6 one rod, £10 two rods. Dawn till dusk
  • Senior citizens over 65 years old £4 per rod
  • Juniors over 12 years old £4 per Rod
  • Night fishing is members only
  • Canal fishing is members only

Environment

No litter is to be left in or around swims, please put it in a bin or take it home.
Bins are provided so there is no excuse
